Grace - Carbon and Earth

Grace

This word has appeared to me in mystic moments over the last few years; Over hearing the name, the mention of the concept in conversation, seeing it in peculiar moments. I'm finding there are few concepts attached to this word. There is the movement of grace, picturing the swaying gate of ease and lightness. There is the christian belief of grace as "undeserved favor". Then there is the name - simple, sweet and youthful.

I'm curious of the kind of grace that asks one to be mindful of the following moments of time. There is a moment that something happens, and grace could be exercised. This seems to be a choice only possible to be made when one is aware of the option. I heard it explained recently as a choice to give freely, or to handle a poor moment just like any other moment with the grand scheme in mind. In a clearer sense, it's how we express ourselves between an experience and our next internal emotional reaction and action; This is the pause that changes everything. the future past every choice we ever have to make could be altered by a pause before our reaction. Cities have burned, relationships sabotaged, overdoses, conception could be shifted out of the timeline with a moments change.

This all could be a good argument for mindfulness as well as therapy. To know ones self enough to know of our emotional landscape and internal cues, wounds, and rapid as wild fire anger that arises.
